Mattress Warehouse is expanding despite a fire that badly damaged its Kanawha City store in July. The repaired and restocked store should reopen in November, about the same time the company anticipates remodeling will be complete at the main office in Winfield, President Kim Brown-Knopf said. The company is planning to add new stores, upgrade its Web site and add office and warehouse space on the three-acre Winfield site. The town zoning commission earlier this month granted final approval for up to about 31,000 square feet in additions.
